Bihar Elections: The schedule for the upcoming elections for the Bihar Assembly has been announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The polls will be conducted in two phases with polling in 121 seats in the first phase and in the remaining 122 seats in the second phase.

The elections will be held after an overhaul of the electoral list in the state. As the voters will get to decide the course of governance for the next five years, a large section of voters are those who reside outside the state for studies, work, etc. These voters will play a crucial role in electing the next government by returning to the state to vote.

These voters can get solutions for any election-related query from a helpline number issued by the poll body. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar announced the number, saying that the entire election machinery was 'just a call away' for any query.

How to use helpline number?

The EC has announced 1950 as a helpline number for voters, including living outside the state. They can call on this number by adding +91 STD Code as a prefix to get any information.

The voters can get details related to EPIC, EPIC number, voter slips, polling stations and polling booths, among others. CEC Kumar gave an example for voters who are registered in Patna. They can call +91-612-1950.

Moreover, the electors can also download the ECINet application on their mobile phone, which the CEC, described as the mother of all EC apps.

Among many other important features of the app, the voter can use the app to book a call with the Booth Level Officer (BLO) of their booth.

The process is as follows:

-Download the ECINet app

-Use the EPIC number to log in

 -Book a call with the BLO

How to download e-EPIC, get EPIC number

For those domestic migrant workers who don't have their EPIC card or have misplaced it, can download the E-Epic card by visiting voters.eci.gov.in. The E-EPIC can be downloaded by using the registered mobile number, EPIC number.

For those voters who do not have their EPIC number can get it by visiting electoralsearch.eci.gov.in.

-After visiting the site, the voters can click on 'Search your name in voter list'.

-On the next page, click on 'Search by Details' and fill up the form.

-A list will appear with the voter details, including the EPIC number.
