Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth Rs 13.10 crore at the Lalit Narayan Mishra Economic Development and Social Change Institute on Monday. The projects include the construction of an annex building costing Rs 2.87 crore, a warden block valued at Rs 4.90 crore, and a startup block worth Rs 5.33 crore.

During the event, the Chief Minister also handed over appointment letters to 20 assistant professors selected by the Bihar University Service Commission. Symbolically, he gave letters to Assistant Professors Ritu Narayan, Preeti Singh, Ashok Kumar (Management department), and Santosh Kumar Jha, Sanjay Kumar (Computer department).

Nitish Kumar inspected various parts of the institute, reviewing the academic activities and infrastructure arrangements. The program began with the Chief Minister paying tribute by offering flowers to the life-size statue of former Union Railway Minister Lalit Narayan Mishra located on the institute campus.

The Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by Dr. S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department and Director of the Institute, with a green plant, while Education Minister and Executive Chairman Sunil Kumar presented him a bouquet.

Also present at the event were Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Chief Minister’s Secretary Anupam Kumar, Special Officer Gopal Singh, Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Avkash Kumar, along with professors and students of the institute.
