Bihar News:  The East Central Railway (ECR) has announced an extension in operations of several special trains running to major cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Howrah, and Udhna. The ECR has also increased the frequency of several inter-zonal special trains in Bihar, including the Patliputra-Saharsa-Patliputra special train and other routes like Danapur-Supaul-Danapur, Saharsa-Lalitgram, and more. These changes aim to provide convenience to passengers and meet the growing demand for rail travel.

Danapur-SMVB-Danapur:  The Danapur-SMVB special train will make eight trips every Sunday and Monday between August 3 to August 25. The train is scheduled to depart from Danapur at 3 PM and reach SMVB Bengaluru at 2:30 PM on the third day. The SMVB-Danapur special train will make eight trips every Tuesday and Wednesday between August 5 to August 27. On its return journey, the train will depart from SMVB at 11:50 PM and arrive in Danapur at 11:55 PM on the third day.

Patna-Charlapalli-Patna:  The Patna-Charlapalli special train is scheduled to make 17 trips from Patna to Charlapalli (Hyderabad) every Monday and Wednesday between August 4 to August 29. The train will depart from Patna at 3:00 PM and reach Charlapalli on the third day. On the other hand, its return leg, Charlapalli-Patna, will make 17 trips every Wednesday and Friday from August 6 to October 1. The train will leave Charlapalli at 11 PM and arrive in Patna on the third day via Gaya, Gomo, Ranchi, Raipur, Durg and Nagpur.

Patna-Howrah-Patna:  The Patna-Howrah-Patna special train will make five trips every Sunday from August 14 to September 14. The train will depart from Patna at 5:30 AM and reach Howrah at 1:25 PM, while its return leg will reach Patna at 10:30 AM after leaving Howrah at 2:15 PM.

Raxaul-Udhna-Raxaul:  The Raxaul-Udhna special train will make nine trips from Raxaul every Saturday from August 2 to September 27. It will depart at 5:30 AM from Raxaul and reach Udhna at 12:35 PM the next day. It's the return leg, the Udhna-Raxaual special train, will make nine trips from Udhna every Sunday between August 3 to September 28. The train will depart from Raxaul at 3:35 PM and reach Raxaul at 12:15 on the third day.

THESE Inter-Zonal Routes To Be Expanded

The East Central Railway has announced an increase in the frequency of operations of several inter-zonal special trains in Bihar. The Patliputra-Saharsa-Patliputra special train frequency has been increased and will now run every Wednesday from August 6 to September 24 and every Friday from August 8 to September 26.

61 trips of several special inter-zonal trains, including Danapur-Supaul-Danapur, Saharsa-Lalitgram, Saharsa-Purnia Court, Barauni-Saharsa, Narkatiaganj-Gaunaha, etc., have been increased, and they will now operate daily or on scheduled days from August 1 to September 30, 2025.

The Patna-Ara-Patna Special train will run three days a week (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) from August 1 to September 28. The frequency of several other trains, including Rajgir-Patna, Gaya-Patna, Rajgir-Koderma, etc, has also been increased.
