Bihar SIR: The Election Commission has uploaded the draft voter list of Bihar after exercising the voter list revision in the state ahead of the assembly polls. The poll body stated that the names of around 65 voters from the previous list will be removed, as many of them have died or have permanently shifted to some other state.

However, the poll body clarified that the residents or political parties can raise objections or can apply for inclusion of their names in the list by September 1. The Election Commission also refuted the allegations by the opposition leaders who claimed that the poll body attempted to remove names of people belonging to the marginalised groups.
