Bihar MLC Election Result: As counting of votes is underway for the 8 Bihar Legislative Council seats today, the fate of 150 candidates contesting four graduates' and four teachers' constituencies is in fray. Polling for the eight seats was conducted on October 23. The constituencies include Patna, Darbhanga, Tirhut and Kosi graduates' seats, along with Patna, Darbhanga, Tirhut and Saran teachers' seats.

Vote counting began at 8 AM under tight security; however, clashes erupted in several counting booths. Tensions escalated at the counting centre when RJD workers confronted an official who was leaving with a register linked to the ballot boxes collected during the election. The documents had been packed in a cloth bundle, prompting the supporters to question transparency. They insisted on checking the papers, and the official was allowed to leave only after showing them the contents.
