Bihar Election Result Live: The NDA has won a landslide victory in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly Elections. The five-party alliance has won 202 seats out of 243, with an impressive strike rate of over 83 per cent. The BJP has emerged as the single largest party with 89 seats, followed by its partner JDU, which clinched 85 seats. Chirag Paswan's LJP (RV), also a part of NDA, stood at fourth position with 19 seats. RJD, on the other hand, won 25 seats. Congress took only 6 seats out of 61 out it contested. AIMIM maintained its 2020 performance and won 5 seats.
As the NDA has won a decisive majority, the discussions on the formation and form of the government are underway. Chirag Paswan, HAM's Santosh Suman, and other NDA leaders met CM Nitish Kumar on Saturday. On the same day, JDU's working president Sanjay Jha and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, aka Lalan Singh, met senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. While the NDA is zealous after the results, the RJD has faced a double setback, one in polls and the other by an aggressive quit by Lalu Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya, from both politics and family.

Bihar Live Updates: RK Singh Speaks On Resignation
Bihar Election Result Live Update: RK Singh said that he resigned from the BJP as it issued a show-cause notice to his name for indulging in anti-party activity without mentioning what that activity was. While talking to ANI, he said, "It has not been specified what those 'anti-party activities' are. They asked me for a showcause and I sent my resignation to party's national president JP Nadda. In my response to them, I am asking the Bihar BJP, what 'anti-party activities' they are talking about. I said that people with a criminal background or those who are corrupt should not be given a ticket. Is that an 'anti-party activity'? If you give ticket to people with criminal background, you are diminishing party's image. This will never be in the interest of party. Giving a ticket to such people is in nobody's interest, neither national interest nor the interest of the people, not even in the interest of the party...My statement was in the interest of the party. There is no use in staying at a place where people are troubled if you question people with criminal background..."
