Bihar Election 2025 Live Updates: 'NDA Will Break All Records Under Nitish Kumar's Leadership,' Says PM Modi

On PM Modi's visit to Bihar, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that his visit is a matter of pride for the people of Bihar. Singh said,  "Prime Minister Modi's visit to Bihar is a matter of pride for the people of Bihar... In 2010, NDA won 206 seats and this time we will win even more than that..."

Describing the RJD era in Bihar as Jungle Raj, PM Modi on Friday said that Bihar was freed from 'Jungle Raj' in October 2005, and the NDA's government was formed under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.  ,

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing people in a gathering in Samastipur, said that People do not need lantern (RJD) as they already have lights in their hands, saying, '..Har ek ke haath mein light hain toh lantern (RJD symbol) chahiye kya?'...'

Reminding people of the alleged 'Jungle Raj' era, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that when the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) was in power, extortion, murder, ransom, and kidnapping flourished.,

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the election gathering at Samastipur, Bihar, addressed Mahagathbandhan as 'Lathbandhan'. PM also warned people against opposition, saying that they would bring back the old days.  

PM Modi said, "...The candidates fielded by 'Lathbandhan' clearly indicate their desire to bring back the old days. Listen to their campaigning and you'll be reminded of Jungle Raj...The people of Bihar must be cautious and vigilant. It's crucial to defeat the Jungle Raj in this election as well."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Bihar's Samastipur, slammed the Mahagathabandhan, saying, 'these people are out on bail'. PM Modi said, "These people are out on bail in scams worth thousands of crores. Those who are out on bail are out on bail in theft cases. Now their habit of stealing is such that they are engaged in stealing the title of Karpoori Thakur. The people of Bihar will never tolerate this insult to the leader of the people, Karpoori Thakur. They will never tolerate it..."

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches the National Democratic Alliance's election campaign, he reached Samastipur in Bihar. PM Modi, before addressing the gathering, paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur in Samastipur, Bihar. He also met the family members of Karpoori Thakur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to kickstart the NDA's Bihar election 2025 campaign with two rallies planned today. PM will address a public meeting at Dudhpoora Helipad Grounds in Samastipur, 90 km from Patna.

PM Modi is also scheduled to address another election gathering in Begusarai, where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also be present. Begusarai is a few miles away from Samastipur.

"We have vision, reason and blueprint. We have an undying passion. We have a new mindset - one that brings everyone together. We have to build a new Bihar. Amit Shah and BJP did not make it clear who would be the CM face of NDA. They should make it clear...People of Bihar want change and want to build a new and developed Bihar...Mukesh Sahani has been announced (as the Deputy CM face), we will include others from different communities too as the Deputy CM. We will tell you when the time comes," CM Tejashwi Yadav told reporters on Thursday.

"We want to ask Amit Shah ji and the president of their party who is the CM face of your alliance? This is our demand because we saw that the election was fought under the leadership of the then CM Eknath Shinde, but later we found out that someone else was chosen as the Chief Minister," said Congress observer for Bihar elections, Ashok Gehlot, while addressing the Mahagathbandhan press conference.

As he leaves after the Mahagathbandhan joint press conference, Bihar Congress chief Rajesh Ram said, "You don't get confused. Voters are on the right path."

Meanwhile, amid growing speculations of internal disagreements, the Mahagathbandhan alliance is yet to finalise its seat-sharing arrangement.

"Tejashwi khud Bihar sarkaar nahi chalaega balki poora Bihar milkar Bihar sarkaar chalane ka kaam karega. Tejashwi CM banega toh saath mein sabhi Bihar ke log CM banenge..." RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan's CM face, Tejashwi Yadav said while addressing the presser.

RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan's CM face, Tejashwi Yadav assured that no family will be without a government job if he comes to power in Bihar.

"I would like to say this confidently that not 5 years, if the people of Bihar give us 20 months, Tejashwi and our Govt will complete in 20 months what these people did not do in 20 years. We have pledged that there will be no family without a Govt job," said the RJD leader.

CPI(ML) leader Dipankar Bhattacharya dedicated the upcoming election in Bihar to the youth, farmers, women, and the poor.

"The people of Bihar have been waiting for the elections for a long time. This election is for the youth, farmers, women, and the poor... We want to assure the people that Bihar is ready... This Mahagathbandhan will fight unitedly to win the election," Dipankar Bhattacharya said at the Mahagathbandhan press conference.

At the Mahagathbandhan press conference, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav highlighted the "injustice" being done to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in the NDA.,

"We, the people of Mahagathbandhan, do not just want to form the govt or become the CM, but we want to make Bihar, that is why we are together... I thank all the members of the Mahagathbandhan for showing trust in me. I want to tell all of them that I will do everything possible to live up to your expectations and together we will throw the 20-year-old government that is currently in power," RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, thanking the alliance.

Bihar Election 2025 will be held in two phases, on November 6 and 11. The results will be announced on November 14 by the Election Commission.

VIP chief Mukesh Sahani has been announced as the Deputy CM face of Mahagathbandhan for Bihar Election 2025. 

Earlier, Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya attributed the delay in deciding Mahagathbandhan's seat-sharing arrangement to accommodating Mukesh Sahani's Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), noting a lack of unity within the alliance on several constituencies.

Former Bihar Deputy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav announced as Mahagathbandhan's CM face for Bihar Assembly Election 2025.

Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said, "All of us sitting here have decided that in these elections, we support Tejashwi Yadav as the CM face"
