Bihar Election Result 2025: Popular YouTuber and Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) candidate Manish Kashyap has reacted emotionally after suffering a heavy defeat in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Kashyap, also known as Tripurari Kumar Tiwari, contested from Chanpatia but lost by more than 50,000 votes. He secured a little over 37,000 votes, finishing behind Congress candidate Abhishek Ranjan and BJP’s Umakant Singh.

In a heartfelt post on X on Saturday, Kashyap wrote, “Mom, today again, apart from you, I have nothing left with me.”

He went on to express regret over not improving his family’s condition earlier. “It would have been better if, instead of trying to change Bihar, I had changed my family's situation, then perhaps fate wouldn't have had 22 cases and numerous jail terms in store for me.”

Referring to people mocking his defeat, he added, “Some people are taunting me and saying, ‘What did you get after losing?’ How do I explain to them that the blessings of 37,172 people came to me not on the basis of caste or party, but on my own merit.”

Kashyap, who has over 9.6 million YouTube subscribers, said the election loss hurt him more than his time in jail. “When I was going to jail, I wasn't as heartbroken as I am today, because I had staked everything I had and in return, I got defeat and people's taunts.”

He concluded with a promise: “But I promise, I will keep striving until I achieve victory. Jai Bihar.”

Kashyap joined Jan Suraaj in July 2025 after a brief stint with the BJP. When he entered the party, he wrote on X, “The time has arrived to usher in a change in Chanpatia, become the voice of the people, and realise the dreams of Jan Suraaj.” He thanked party leaders, including national president Uday Singh, state president Manoj Bharti and founder Prashant Kishor, for giving him a ticket.

The YouTuber had previously been arrested in 2023 by Tamil Nadu police for allegedly spreading misinformation about attacks on migrants from Bihar. He later joined the BJP in 2024 but left the party before contesting the assembly polls.
