The Jan Suraaj Party, led by political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor, has released its second list of candidates for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. A total of 65 candidates have been announced, following the first list of 51 released earlier.
The new list comprises candidates for 20 reserved constituencies (19 SC and 1 ST) and 46 unreserved seats. It includes 14 Most Backward Class candidates (10 Hindu, 4 Muslim), 10 from Other Backward Classes, 11 from reserved categories, and 14 from minority communities. Additionally, one SC/ST candidate has been fielded from Harnaut Bardhaman, a general category seat.
However, Prashant Kishor, expected to contest from the Raghopur seat against RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, was absent from the list. The party has nominated Kamlesh Paswan for Harnaut, a constituency long seen as CM Nitish Kumar's stronghold, despite Paswan not having contested an assembly election there in over three decades.

Prashant Kishor stated that among the candidates announced so far, 31 come from the extremely weaker sections, 21 belong to Other Backward Classes, and 21 are Muslims.
On October 9, his party unveiled the first list of 51 candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections, featuring prominent names such as Lata Singh, daughter of former Union Minister RCP Singh, contesting from Asthawa; Jagriti Thakur, granddaughter of socialist leader Karpoori Thakur, from Morwa in Samastipur; popular Bhojpuri singer Ritesh Pandey from Kargahar; and renowned mathematician KC Sinha from the Kumhrar seat in Patna.
