Bihar Elections 2025: A dramatic incident unfolded outside the residence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday after JD(U) MLA Gopal Mandal staged a sit-in protest at the gate of the CM's house. He wanted to meet the chief minister to seek an election ticket from the Gopalpur Assembly constituency in the upcoming Bihar elections 2025.
While speaking to reporters, he said, "I want to meet the CM. I have been waiting here since 0830 hours. I will get the election ticket. I won't go without getting it."
"I will not budge till I get the party symbol from the CM, who is our party's supremo. The security personnel may charge the baton if they wish," he asserted.

Mandal, who is enjoying the fourth consecutive term from the Gopalpur seat in Bhagalpur district, created chaos with a group of slogan-shouting supporters outside the CM house.
When security personnel stopped him from entering the premises, pointing out that he did not have an appointment, Mandal sat down close to the gate.
Controversies Around Mandal
This year at the Holi event, Mandal was seen making vulgar dance moves in the presence of female artists on the state. He was trolled after his dance video went viral on social media.
In September 2021, Mandal was seen walking around in his underwear on a running train in a viral video. A passenger raised the issue when the JD-U MLA Gopal Mandal was walking in underwear in the AC First Class compartment of Tejas Rajdhani Express, on a journey from Patna to New Delhi.
