Bihar Election Results: Tejashwi Yadav Clinches Raghopur But Mahagathbandhan's Poor Show Shatters CM Dreams

Raghopur Election Result 2025 : In a closely contested battle, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav emerged victorious, defeating BJP's Satish Kumar by over 13,000 votes. However, the broader outcome of the elections did not favor the opposition alliance, as the Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) clinched a massive win, securing more than 206 Assembly seats.

Raghopur has long been a stronghold for the Yadav family, with both Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi previously winning elections from this constituency. The BJP put forward Satish Kumar, who had previously defeated Rabri Devi in the 2010 Assembly polls. Additionally, the Jan Suraaj party entered the fray with local businessman Chanchal Kumar, making it a three-way contest.

Meanwhile, The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is heading towards a landslide victory in the Bihar assembly polls, with the latest trends showing that it is poised to win over 200 seats.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to emerge as the single-largest party in the Bihar assembly and has so far won 35 seats. It is leading in 55 constituencies. The Janata Dal (United) has won 24 seats and is leading in 59 constituencies. BJP and JD-U supporters celebrated the NDA's victory in Patna by distributing sweets.
