Bihar Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) is set to enhance mobile security with the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to identify and automatically block spam calls and malicious links. This initiative aims to protect consumers and strengthen cybercrime prevention across the state.

In a meeting held on Thursday under the chairmanship of EOU ADG Nayyar Hasnain Khan, officials from Airtel Telecom Company demonstrated the new AI-powered service to EOU representatives. Airtel officials explained that the technology not only blocks spam calls and links but also sends alerts to help users stay cautious.

It was decided that all cyber police stations in Bihar will soon be informed and trained on this advanced technology to better combat cyber fraud. Cyber cell officials also shared insights on emerging cyber fraud methods and stressed the importance of conducting awareness programs, especially in remote areas.

The meeting was attended by Airtel CEO Sujay Chakraborty, Security Head Sandeep Sahay, EOU DIG Manavjit Singh Dhillon, Sanjay Kumar, and other officials. This collaboration marks a significant step toward improving cyber security in Bihar.
