Bihar Floods: As North Bihar is reeling under flood conditions due to intense monsoon rains, the water level of rivers is continuously rising. According to a report issued by the district administration, the water level of the Bagmati River is continuously rising in Dubba, Dheng, Sonakhan, Chandauli and Katauja.
On the other hand the Kosi river's water level is also rising in Baltara of Bihar's Khagaria. The departmental report states that on June 27, at 6 AM, the water level of Kosi was measured at 32.78 metres at Baltara, Khagaria.
Kosi's water level was 32.65 metres on June 26. Within 24 hours, there was a 13-centimetre rise in Kosi's water level. The rate of Kosi's rise is approximately 0.5 centimetres each hour. Departmental data indicates that the water level of Kosi is trending upward.

This indicates that the speed won't drop right now. The water level of Kosi will keep rising. The river is currently flowing 33.85 metres, one metre, and seven centimetres below the danger mark.
Sitamarhi's Lahuria Suffers From Flood
The six villages in the Sursand, Majorganj, and Parihar blocks are the first to be impacted by flooding when the district's rivers surge. These also include the Parihar block's Lahuriya settlement. The village of Lahuriya experiences flooding initially when the Marha River surges. Water entered the homes in addition to flooding the village's farms, roadways, Idgah, Anganwadi centre, and school. The people are experiencing flooding for the first time this year.
