Bihar Government Formation Live Updates: The new Bihar government will be formed in the next three to four days after the National Democratic Alliance registered a landslide victory in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly Election 2025.

The five-party alliance has won 202 seats out of 243, with an impressive strike rate of over 83 per cent. The BJP has emerged as the single largest party with 89 seats, followed by its partner JDU, which clinched 85 seats.

Follwing the cabinet meeting of the NDA government on Monday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was "authorised" to recommend dissolution of the current assembly.

Nitish Kumar will tender his resignation to Governor Arif Mohammad Khanfrom at Raj Bhavan on November 10. Meanwhile, amid the ongoing rift within the Lalu family and the allegations made by Rohini Acharya, Tejashwi Yadav will hold a meeting with RJD MLAs today to discuss the reasons behind the party’s defeat.

The government will be dissolved by November 19 and the swearing-in ceremony for new government will take place on November 20, as per alliance leaders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s availability will also be kept in mind for this.

    Bihar Government Formation Live Updates: Final Date For Oath-Taking Ceremony Yet Not Confirmed 

    BJP leader Nitin Nabin on Monday said that the process of forming the new government in Bihar will begin on Tuesday, following the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) resounding victory in the Assembly Elections 2025, clarifying that although November 19-20 is being considered for the oath-taking ceremony, the final date has not yet been confirmed.

    "The process for forming a new government will begin tomorrow. So far, the expected date (of the oath ceremony) is November 19-20. But the final date is yet to be decided," he told ANI.

    JDU leader Ashok Choudhary clarified that there was no vacancy for the CM's post in Bihar.

    Bihar New Government Formation Live Updates: Nitish Kumar 'Authorised' To Recommend Dissolution Of Assembly

    Nitish Kumar was “authorised” to recommend dissolution of the assembly on Monday. A resolution to this effect was unanimously passed in the cabinet meeting, which lasted for 10 minutes, news agency PTI reported.

    The NDA managed to get more than 200 seats in the 243-member House. The BJP won the maximum number of 89 seats, followed by the JD(U)'s tally of 85.
