Nitish Kumar, also known as ‘Sushasan Babu’, was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time on Thursday, November 10, at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, several Union Ministers, and NDA state Chief Ministers.

In the ceremony, along with Nitish Kumar, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha also took the oath. However, there were many new faces as well who took the oath, keeping up with the Vision 2025 of NDA. 

Here is a look at the new faces who will be joining the cabinet of Nitish Kumar:

New Faces Of Bihar Cabinet: 

- Ram Kripal Yadav: A former RJD turncoat, Ram Kripal Yadav won from the Danapur assembly constituency in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. A close confidant of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Yadav joined the Bharatiya Janta Party in 2014. He was first a mayor in Bihar, and later the Minister of State for Rural Development in the central cabinet in Delhi from 2014 to 2019.

- Shreyasi Singh: Daughter of former Union Minister Digvijay Singh, Singh is a Commonwealth Games gold medalist trap shooter. She created a buzz in the political corridors post her entry into politics in 2020, when she was fielded from the Jamui Assembly Constituency, winning by a margin of 41,000 votes and defeating RJD’s Vijay Prakash. In the 2025 Assembly Elections she won again from the Assembly Constituency, having defeated Mohammad Shamshad Alam by a margin of over 50,000 votes.

- Sanjay Singh Tiger: Sanjay Singh won from the Arrah Assembly Constituency in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections. Earlier, Singh served as the MLA in the Legislative Assembly, having won from the Sandesh constituency from 2010-2015. He was also the state spokesperson of the Bihar BJP Unit.

- Arun Shankar Prasad: A two-term member from the Khajauli Assembly Constituency, Arun Shankar Prasad won by a margin of over 10,000 votes against RJD’s candidate Braj Kishor Yadav. He will now join the Cabinet under the new government of Nitish Kumar. 

- Rama Nishad: Rama Nishad is an Indian politician who won from the Aurai Assembly Constituency, defeating Bhogendra Sahni from the VIP party by a comfortable margin of over 50,000 votes.

Lakhendra Kumar Raushan: Lakhendra Kumar Raushan, aka Lakhendra Kumar Paswan, managed to retain his seat of Patepur, having won in the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections. In the 2025 Assembly elections, Lakhendra Kumar defeated Prema Chaudhary by a margin of over 20,000 votes.

- Deepak Prakash: Son of Upendra Kuswaha, Rashtriya Lok Manch (RLM), Deepak Prakash has taken oath as minister, but didn't contest the recently concluded Vidhan Sabha Elections.
