Bihar Govt Formation: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) intensified their efforts to reach an agreement on power-sharing before the formation of the new government, following a historical victory in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly election with securing 202 seats. In the recent two-phase elections to the 243-seat Bihar Assembly, the BJP won 89 seats, while the JDU won 85.

On Sunday, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi and Rashtriya Lok Morcha president Upendra Kushwaha held separate meetings with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at his residence in New Delhi on Sunday. Pradhan was the BJP's election in-charge in Bihar, Vinod Tawde, the BJP's in-charge of political affairs in Bihar, was also present when the two NDA allies visited Pradhan's residence. This meeting comes amid the NDA's preparations to form a government in Bihar after its landslide victory in the state assembly polls.

Bihar Govt Formation: Preparations for forming a new government in Bihar intensified with a series of meetings between NDA partners and the top leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. According to sources, the BJP will have more cabinet ministers, while Nitish Kumar will remain the chief minister.

After meeting Pradhan at his residence, Kushwaha, in a post in Hindi on X, said, "I met Union Education Minister and in-charge of Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar elections, Dharmendra Pradhan, and congratulated him on the grand victory of the NDA."

The RLM chief also posted a picture of his meeting with the senior BJP leader. Sources said both Manjhi and Kushwaha discussed with the BJP leaders government formation in Bihar and representation of their parties in the state cabinet.

Power Distribution Among NDA Partners

According to Jagran.com, the BJP is expected to have 15-16 ministers, JD(U) 14, the Lok Janshakti Party (R) 3, Hindustan Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha one ministerial post each.

New Govt To Form In Next Six Days: Chirag

Meanwhile, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan has confirmed that the process to form the new government will be completed before November 22, which means the government will be formed within five days.

According to a notification of the cabinet secretariat department, the council of ministers will meet on Monday, when, according to a senior JD(U) leader, a resolution will be passed to "authorise" Kumar to meet the governor with the proposal to dissolve the outgoing assembly.
