Festivals bring happiness, but for people working in other states, coming home and then traveling back is often very difficult. Keeping this problem in mind, the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation has decided to launch a special bus service. For the convenience of passengers traveling to and from home during festivals like Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath, the corporation will start operating these buses this month.

Most of these buses will be air-conditioned (AC), and both seater and sleeper options will be available. These buses will run from different districts of the state to cities like Delhi, Ranchi and Siliguri. Buses starting from Sitamarhi, Sheohar and Motihari will also have a stop in Muzaffarpur, and about 38 buses will be operated from the district.

The transport corporation has already started the process, and the work related to permits has been completed. This special service is likely to officially start from September 20. It is often seen that people face problems due to the non-availability of train tickets during festival time, and private bus operators take advantage of this by charging whatever fare they want. It is hoped that this service by the corporation will provide relief to passengers from this overcharging.
