The Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education has directed all principals of government engineering colleges and polytechnic institutes in Bihar to prioritise the development of essential infrastructure and basic amenities ahead of the new academic session.
In departmental-level reviews of ongoing schemes, special emphasis has been placed on timely completion of infrastructure projects in technical institutions. Principals have been instructed to focus on quality development to ensure students receive the best possible technical education.

The department has also stressed the importance of completing all ongoing schemes within the stipulated time frame across various institutions. Technical Education Minister Sumit Kumar Singh has reviewed the progress of these schemes with Assistant Directors, seeking updates on land availability, utilisation of allocated funds, and progress in implementing key facilities.
Kumar also inquired about the availability of equipment, language laboratories, biometric attendance systems, sports grounds, foreign language classes, Wi-Fi, hostels, boundary walls, internship programs, society registration, and the implementation of the student credit card scheme.
