Bihar News:  A four-lane road will be built from Ekchari of Kahalgaon block to Mahagama of Godda district of Jharkhand. The construction of the Ekchari-Mahagama four-lane road will be completed in two and a half years at Rs 1006 crore. The land acquisition work for the four-lane road has started. It will be 27.25 km long. Prior to the four-lane road, an airstrip was going to be constructed.

Out of the 27.25 km long road, 14.30 km will be built in the Bhagalpur district, Jagran.com reported. The survey work for land acquisition for the four-lane road has been expedited. The construction will start after land acquisition. After the completion of the four-lane road, it will be easier for the people of Kahalgoan, Pirpainti and Sabour to reach Jharkhand. It will also become easier to reach Baba Baidyanath Dham Deoghar, Jharkhand, from Bhagalpur, Ekchari, Mahagama, and Handiha.

The land for the four-lane road will be acquired in four mouzas in the Kahalgaon zone and 17 in the Sanhaula zone. The land acquisition department will publish in 3D with the names.

The journey from Bhagalpur to Deogharon through the four-lane road will be completed in just two hours. This four-lane road will ease travel by reducing time and traffic congestion.

CONSTRUCTION OF AIRSTRIP CANCELLED

Earlier, Bihar’s first airstrip was going to be built at the Mahagama-Godda four-lane. The construction was cancelled due to the non-feasibility of the airstrip. The length of the airstrip was expected to be around four kilometres. But, now the project of building an airstrip has been cancelled, and a four-lane road of 27.25 km will be built.
