Tourists can now explore Bihar’s major attractions with a single click, thanks to the launch of the state’s new tourism website — [www.tourism.bihar.gov.in]. The platform, unveiled by Tourism Minister Raju Kumar Singh on Tuesday at the Tourism Directorate Auditorium, offers comprehensive information about 165 prominent tourist destinations and key tourism circuits in both Hindi and English.
The portal provides details on the historical, cultural, and religious significance of various sites under the Buddha, Jain, Sikh, Ramayana, Sufi, Eco, and Gandhi Circuits. It also lists transportation options, route maps, private and government-run hotels, accredited guides, and tour operators.
Minister Singh said the platform aims to enhance tourist convenience and promote transparency. In the coming days, application forms for schemes like the Bihar Tourism Policy and the Chief Minister's Homemade Bed & Breakfast Promotion Scheme, along with hotel and tour operator recognition forms, will also be made available online.
Tourism Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh added that the website will soon include hotel booking features and is being complemented by a mobile application under development. Singh also advised officials to integrate contact numbers of nearby police stations for enhanced tourist safety.
