Bihar MLAs, MLCs To Receive Fixed Monthly Telephone Allowance; Governor Approves 11 Bills

Members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council will now receive a fixed monthly allowance for telephone expenses. As per the Bihar Legislature (Members' Salary, Allowances and Pension) (Amendment) Rules, 2025, tabled in the House on Wednesday by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, each member will get Rs 8,300 per month for telephone use.

The allowance will be provided without the need to submit vouchers, and legislators may spend the amount on any number of phones or mobile connections.

Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has approved 11 bills passed by the Bihar Legislature. Legislative Assembly Secretary Khyati Singh presented the details of the approved bills in the House.

7. Bihar Platform-Based Gig Workers (Registration, Social Security and Welfare) Bill, 2025
