Since January 2025, a total of 1,98,65,800 patients have been registered through the Bihar Health Application Visionary Yojana for All (Bhavya), with 1,81,98,131 patients receiving online consultations from doctors, while the rest availed offline services. On average, 25,71,977 patients are being registered online each month, Health Minister Mangal Pandey informed on Thursday.

Minister Pandey said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar is achieving new milestones in healthcare delivery. The state is rapidly digitising its health services to ensure transparency and make healthcare facilities accessible to all. Through the Bhavya app, doctors now prescribe medicines and tests online, while all patient health information is securely stored digitally.

The minister highlighted that the use of Bhavya has significantly reduced patient waiting times in hospitals, from several hours to just 36 minutes, while the average patient journey time within hospitals has dropped to 49 minutes.

The Bhavya app has also garnered national and international recognition. Bihar received the Innovation Award at the Global Digital Health Summit 2024 in Mumbai, the Excellence Award at Techno Sabha in Hyderabad, and the Technology Sabha Excellence Award in the Enterprise Application category on February 21, 2025.
