Bihar News: In the election season, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar continued to take populist decisions. In the first Cabinet meeting of September, Kumar approved 49 important proposals. Keeping in mind his promise regarding government jobs, the CM approved the creation of 1,800 new academic and non-academic posts of 10 + 2 in the newly approved 40 residential schools under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare Department. Also, approval has been given for the creation of 25 posts in the Art, Culture and Youth Department.

Rs 574.33 Crore For Construction Of Sports Structure In Patna

In the Cabinet meeting, Rs 574.33 crore has been approved for the acquisition of 100 acres of land for the construction of sports complex in Patna division or headquarters. Along with this, approval of Rs 4,119 crore has also been given for the construction work on JP Ganga Path.

Kumar approved the increase in the duty allowance/training allowance of the Home Guards of Bihar Home Guard Corps from Rs 774 per working day per Home Guard to Rs 1,121 as per the minimum daily salary of the police working in the Bihar government. Also, approval has been given to increase the fixed (monthly) honorarium of Rs 6000 to Rs 9000, which is currently payable to the Gram Kachhari Secretary.

Earlier, in the Cabinet meeting, the CM had approved the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana'. Nitish said that this scheme will further strengthen the economic condition of women.

Kumar Pledges To Provide Govt Jobs, Employment Opportunities To One Crore Youth

Earlier on August 15, Kumar pledged to provide government jobs and other employment opportunities to one crore youth in the state "in the coming years". "Bihar is moving ahead with high growth rate and development. Earlier, we had promised to provide 10 lakh government jobs to our youth. But now we have fixed a new target of providing jobs and employment opportunities to one crore youth in the state," Kumar said.
