Bihar News: The PhD Admission Test (PAT) scheduled for September 14, Sunday, at BRA Bihar University was cancelled for both shifts after the question paper was leaked from the LS College exam centre. A photo of the question paper was widely circulated on the internet, prompting immediate action from the authorities.
The university officials caught the candidate responsible for leaking the question paper and expelled him from the exam, Jagran.com reported.
How Was The Question Paper Leaked?
The question paper was leaked shortly after the first shift began at 11 AM for the PAT exam. Abhishek Kumar, a candidate who was seated in Room Number 37 of the Arts Block at LS College, folded the question paper multiple times and passed it through the window to his friend, Kanchan Kumar. Kanchan took a picture of the question paper and circulated it on the internet before returning it to Abhishek.
However, the university identified the candidate through seating arrangements, roll sheets, and exam records. Following the incident, Vice Chancellor Prof. DC Rai visited the examination centre. An FIR was filed based on a written complaint from the invigilator. The district administration has been informed, and further investigation is underway.
Officials suspect that a larger network may be involved in circulating the question paper, possibly including invigilators and other individuals seen roaming around the LS College exam centre. BRA Bihar University Proctor and PAT Nodal Officer Prof. BS Rai said that the PAT exam has been cancelled for both shifts and will be rescheduled soon. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against all those found responsible once the investigation is complete.
