Delhi News: A finance ministry secretary died when a BMW overturned after colliding with a motorcycle at Dhaula Kuan on Sunday. His wife, who was riding as a passenger, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment.
Police said the couple, residents of Hari Nagar, were travelling on a motorcycle when they were hit by a BMW near Metro pillar number 67. The impact pushed them towards the central verge, after which they also struck a bus moving on the left side.
The victim’s son, Navjot Singh, alleged that the delay in medical treatment worsened the situation. “My parents were travelling on a bike around 1 PM when a BMW X5, driven by a girl, hit them. They were taken to a hospital 22 km away. If they had been taken to a nearby hospital, my father could have been saved. My mother is severely injured,” he said.
