Bihar SIR: The claims and objections phase under the Bihar Special Intensive Revision 2025 (SIR), part of preparations for the upcoming Bihar Assembly election, has officially concluded. The final voter list will now be published on September 30, 2025. In this regard, a review meeting was held with the representatives and officials of political parties under the chairmanship of District Election Officer Subrata Kumar Sen on Monday, jagran.com reported.

In the meeting, the District Election Officer said that accuracy and transparency of the voter list is extremely important. All claims and objections received from August 1 to September 1 will be settled legally.
He added that updating the electoral list is a continuous process. There were a total of 32,03,370 voters in the draft voter list published on August 1, including 16,93,950 men, 15,09,330 women and 22,530 disabled persons.
A total of 53,184 applications were received online from June 24 to July 31, all of which have been processed. Out of 67,696 applications received from August 1 to 31, 8,201 have been processed. Instructions have been given to complete the work of the remaining within a week.

In the meeting, the preparation for 24 cells, availability of facilities like furniture, toilets, electricity, drinking water, ramps and help desks at polling centres, the activeness of sector officers and security arrangements were reviewed. The District Magistrate gave the task of completing the work on time to all the officers.
