Bihar Train News Update: The Vaishali Express, train number 12553/12554, running between Saharsa and New Delhi, will now operate from Lalitgram (Supaul). The railway administration has extended the route of the Superfast Vaishali Express, which runs between New Delhi and Saharsa via Gorakhpur, to Lalitgram.

According to Pankaj Kumar Singh, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northeast Railway, from December 7, the Vaishali Express will be renumbered and will run as Lalitgram-New Delhi-Lalitgram Vaishali Express with train numbers 15565/15566, Jagran.com reported

From October 2, the train has been operating as the New Delhi-Lalitgram Vaishali Express. It departs from New Delhi at 08:40 PM and reaches Lalitgram at 10:30 AM the next day, after stopping at designated stations, covering the extended route from Saharsa.

From October 3, the 12553 Lalitgram-New Delhi Vaishali Express will depart from Lalitgram at 4:00 AM and from Saharsa at 6:45 AM, reaching New Delhi the next morning at 6:30 AM after stopping at designated stations. The return journey from New Delhi to Saharsa will maintain its previous schedule.

Initially, the train ran from New Delhi to Barauni via Gorakhpur, and its route was later extended to Saharsa. Now, it has been further extended to Lalitgram.
