The Meteorological Centre, Patna, has forecast cloudy conditions over most parts of the southern region, including Patna, in the next 24 hours, with the possibility of drizzle accompanied by thunder at isolated locations.

A yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for one or two places in seven northern districts, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Banka and Jamui. Winds with speeds of 30–40 kmph are expected in these areas. The northern parts of the state are likely to witness heavy showers till August 11 as monsoon activity intensifies.

Over the last 24 hours, rainfall has been reported in and around the Patna district. Belchi in Patna recorded the highest rainfall of 65.8 mm, while Darauli in Siwan received 90.4 mm. 

Patna’s maximum temperature rose by four degrees Celsius to 32.5 degrees Celsius, while Gopalganj registered the highest temperature in the state at 35.6 degrees Celsius. Most districts, including Patna, reported an increase in maximum temperatures on Tuesday.
