Monsoon activity continues in Bihar, keeping the weather normal in most parts of the state due to rain and cloud cover. According to the Meteorological Centre, Patna, a trough extends from South Bihar to North Odisha, while an upper-air cyclonic circulation is active over the central Bay of Bengal. These conditions are expected to bring rain with thunder across the state for the next four to five days.
Light to moderate rain with partial cloud movement is likely in Patna and nearby areas over the next 24 hours. Heavy rainfall warnings have been issued for one or two locations in nine districts, East Champaran, West Champaran, Siwan, Gopalganj, Saran, Samastipur, Khagaria, Kishanganj, and Siwan, along with thunder, lightning, and winds reaching 30-40 km/h.

On Tuesday, Patna recorded 0.2 mm of rain, with a maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius. Rajgir was the hottest at 36.3 degrees Celsius. The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was 98.2 mm in Sarmera (Nalanda), followed by 74.2 mm in Kusheshwarnath (Darbhanga), 63.2 mm in Barbigha (Sheikhpura), and 50.2 mm in Bihar Sharif. Significant rainfall was also recorded in Rohtas, Nawada, Gaya, Purnia, Kishanganj, Sitamarhi, Araria, Khagaria, Bhojpur, and Madhepura.
