Bihar Weather Today: According to Meteorological Centre Patna, during the next 24 hours, there will be hot and humid days in 13 districts including Patna. Late on Monday night, Patna saw sporadic rain with thunder, while on Tuesday people were troubled by the humid heat due to the increase in humidity due to the easterly wind. Some parts of Bihar will have hot and humid days while the remaining districts will have thundershowers and rain accompanied by lightning. Similar conditions are expected to persist for the next seven days.There is a possibility of rain in Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Araria, Madhepura, Supaul, Saharsa, Khagaria, Begusarai, Sitamarhi and Madhubani, as per a jagran.com report.
There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder at some places. A yellow alert has been issued for thunder, lightning and strong winds of 30-40 km per hour at one or two places in the south-central and south-western parts.
“The upper air cyclonic circulation over east Bihar & adjoining Sub-Himalayan West Bengal at 0.9 km above mean sea level persists. The upper air cyclonic circulation over Northeast Assam & neighbourhood extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level persists,” as per IMD Patna.
“The trough from above cyclonic circulation over east Bihar & adjoining Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to south Chhattisgarh now runs from above cyclonic circulation over east Bihar & adjoining Sub Himalayan West Bengal to north Rayalaseema across Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Telangana at 0.9 km above mean sea level,” IMD Patna added.
How Was The Weather In Last 24 Hours
During the last 24 hours, rainfall was recorded in most parts including the state's capital Patna. 59 mm rainfall was recorded in Motipur of Muzaffarpur.
During the last 24 hours, a fall in the maximum temperature was recorded in 11 districts including Patna. The maximum temperature of Patna fell by 1.3 degrees Celsius to 37.7 degrees Celsius and the highest maximum temperature of the state was recorded in Dehri with 42 degrees Celsius. An increase in the temperature was recorded in the remaining districts.
