Bihar Weather: The weather pattern has changed in the state of Bihar which experienced a dry spell for most part of June. Monsoon has gained momentum in the state and its adjoining areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in the state.
The trough line is likely to move further south from its normal position and persist for the next few days, according to the Meteorological Department. As a result, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Bihar from July 18 to July 23.
Moreover, due to active monsoon for the last four to five days, intermittent rains have been continuing in most parts of the state. During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred in the north-east and southern parts of the state, including Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Katihar, Banka and Bhojpur. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in most parts of the state for the next five days.
Possible Rains In Most Parts Of Bihar Till July 22
There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in different parts of the state till July 22. According to the Meteorological Center Patna, during the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning at most places in the north-east, south-west and south-central parts of the state, including Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Buxar, Bhojpur, Patna, Nalanda and Gaya.
While a yellow alert has been issued, there has been no warning for July 18 to 21. On July 22, rain and thundershowers have been predicted in other districts, including Patna, Arrah, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nalanda, Lakhisarai, Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur, Bhagalpur and Khagaria. Yellow alert is the second of the four-colour warnings issued by the IMD. It advises people to follow weather reports and remain updated.
