Bihar Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday stated that several districts of Bihar are likely to witness severe heat for a few more days. The weather department stated that while the maximum temperature is likely to be recorded at 45 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is likely to remain around 33 degrees Celsius. However, it clarified that some of the districts are also likely to receive light rainfall in the upcoming few days. The weather department advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
The weather department stated that several districts, including Patna, Jehanabad, Gaya, and Rajgir, are likely to witness severe heat for the next few days. It stated that the residents of these districts are likely to witness light rainfall after June 16. The IMD has advised the residents to stay hydrated and limit their outings during the noon hours to avoid any inconveniences and health concerns.

While providing details, senior weather expert Dr A Sattar stated that the maximum temperature can reach 38 to 40 degrees Celsius in many districts due to the effect of westerly and northwesterly hot winds. He further added that the minimum temperature is also expected to remain between 25 to 26 degrees Celsius, reported Jagran.Com.
Sattar further stated that multiple districts are likely to witness light rainfall after June 16. He further advised the farmers to keep the animals in the shade during the day and ensure the availability of clean water.

Apart from this, the IMD stated that several districts, including Banka, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Katihar, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Munger, Patna, Purnia, West Champaran, Madhubani, Samastipur, Araria, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Supaul, and Shivhar, are expected to receive light to heavy rainfall. Earlier last week, the weather department stated that the monsoon is likely to arrive in Bihar between June 13 and 15.
