In the latest development in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, an Indore-based transport businessman, his elder brother on Friday demanded a narco test on Raja's wife Sonam and her alleged boyfriend Raj Kushwaha to uncover the complete truth behind the sensational case.
While talking to news agency PTI, Sachin Raghuvanshi said, "We want the Meghalaya police to conduct a narco test (also called truth serum test) on Sonam and Kushwaha so that the full truth behind my brother's murder comes out."
He added that the reports emerging suggest that they may be misleading the investigators by blaming each other as the mastermind of the brutal killing.
"It appears Sonam and Kushwaha are colluding to misdirect the probe," he claimed. He insisted that they couldn't have executed the conspiracy on their own.
All of them are currently in the Meghalaya police's custody and an SIT is probing the case.
Sonam is accused of getting her husband killed during their honeymoon with the help of Kushwaha and three contract killers, a case which has sent shockwaves across the country.
"I believe more people are involved in the conspiracy, but they are still out of police reach. Their names may surface through narco analysis," he contended.
A total of five accused have been arrested by the Meghalaya Police, including Sonam and Raj. The case surfaced after Sonam and Raja went missing on their honeymoon in Meghalaya on May 23. After days of searching, Raja's body was found on June 2, however, Sonam remained untraceable.
Later on Monday, Sonam was arrested from Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur. In the overnight raids, the police arrested other accused. During the interrogation, the accused have reportedly confessed to committing the crime.

Calling for a thorough probe into the entire episode, Sachin Raghuvanshi expressed suspicion that Sonam's family, particularly her mother, was aware of her alleged relationship with Raj before marriage. He alleged that the wedding took place on May 11 under family pressure.
Sachin also demanded the case to be tried in a fast-track court and that the culprits be handed "double life imprisonment".
Earlier, East Khasi Hills district Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem said, "The conspiracy to eliminate Raja Raghuvanshi was hatched in Indore, shortly before his wedding with Sonam on May 11, and the mastermind is Raj Kushwaha while the woman had agreed to the plot."
