The Bihar government is making its ambitious Bihar Student Credit Card (BSCC) scheme more accessible with the aim of promoting higher education and supporting economically weaker students. Under this scheme, eligible students of the state are being provided with an interest-free education loan of up to Rs 4,00,000.
The main objective of the scheme is to ensure that no student has to leave their studies incomplete due to financial problems, making it a beneficial scheme for all students.

Eligibility Criteria:
-The applicant must be a resident of Bihar state and under 25 years of age.
-The student must have passed the 12th standard and should be selected for or enrolled in higher education at any recognised state or central institution.
All types of recognised courses, general, technical, and vocational, are covered under this scheme. Additionally, the student cannot be simultaneously availing of any other scholarship, loan, or financial assistance.
The government has also released a detailed list of courses for which the loan is available, which is available at DRCC centres and on the 7 Nischay Yuva Portal.

How To Apply?
* Visit the official website 7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in.
* Click on "New Applicant Registration" and enter your mobile, email, and Aadhaar number.
* Log in with the user ID received and fill out the application form.
* Select 'Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme' and submit the details.
* An appointment will be given by the DRCC centre via SMS/Email.
* Visit the DRCC on the scheduled date with the required documents.
* The loan will be disbursed after verification and bank approval.
