A firing incident was reported near the Patna residence of senior RJD leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday, PTI reported. Reacting over the incident, Yadav rebuked the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government, asserting that high-security zones, including the Governor's residence Raj Bhawan, the Chief Minister's residence, the Leader of the Opposition's residence, the Judge's residence and the airport, were also not safe in the state.
Yadav also said the incident might have been orchestrated by someone.

He also slammed the media for not reporting such incidents to salvage the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was visiting the poll-bound state on Friday.
“Today, a bullet was fired outside my residence. In the demonic rule of NDA, the morale of the criminals protected by the government is so high that in the high security zone, at a short distance from the Governor's residence Raj Bhawan, Chief Minister's residence, Leader of the Opposition's residence, Judge's residence and the airport, the dreaded criminals are roaming around openly firing. Beware! What if someone calls it Jungle Raj? Anyway, the Prime Minister is coming to Bihar tomorrow, so the Godi media has to maintain a positive image,” Tejashwi Yadav posted on X.

A police team reached 1 Polo Road and launched an investigation into the incident.
Earlier, the State LoP tore into PM Modi over his proposed visit to Bihar for the poll campaign. Yadav said PM Modi made several promises during his last 200 speeches during elections in Bihar but none were fulfilled.
"Elections are there in Bihar and hence many people-be it the PM, Union Ministers, people of the RSS and their A, B, C teams-will continue to come to Bihar. If PM Modi listens to his 200 speeches that he has given so far in Bihar, he will be ashamed to come to Bihar... He made hundreds of promises, he will be ashamed of what to say to the people of Bihar... He is not coming to Bihar to provide employment, reduce inflation, eliminate poverty, but just to do the politics of Hindu-Muslim, the politics of hatred," he said.
The assembly election is slated to be held in Bihar in October-November this year.
