Jaiprakash University is currently preparing to begin enrollment through the Samarth portal, which was created by the HRD Department. As an experiment, the university administration is accepting enrollments for the postgraduate first-semester session 2022-24 through the Samarth portal. Until now, enrollment and examination at the university were done through UMIS.

The university had to pay crores of rupees to UMIS for enrollment and other services. Even after this, the nomination process was not completed on time, and the sessions were being delayed. Not only that, but the students' districts changed during their UMIS enrollment.

Girl students from Gopalganj district were being enrolled in Saran district colleges, depriving them of higher education opportunities. This issue will also be resolved once enrollment is done through the Samarth portal.

Students will apply online through the Samarth portal and specify their preferred college. They will be admitted to the appropriate college on the basis of their merit. The portal will include complete records for all employees, officers, and colleagues. He stated that after the successful completion of postgraduate enrollment through the Samarth portal, it will be fully implemented in the university during the new academic session beginning in July.

The process of admitting graduate students to various colleges will begin with the new session. Samarth's portal is completely mobile-friendly. Students will not have to go to cybercafés to apply for enrollment.
