Gaya Town Assembly Election 2025: One of the strongholds of the BJP, Gaya Town will go into polls under the second phase of the Assembly Elections. The sitting MLA from the constituency is Prem Kumar, who will look to win for a third consecutive time on a BJP ticket. 

Prem Kumar had won from the constituency back in 2015 and 2020. But things can get interesting this time with the entry of Prahant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party.

Gaya Town Assembly Election 2025: Voting Date

The voting for the Gaya Town Assembly constituency will take place under Phase 2 of the Bihar elections on November 11. The results of the same will be announced on November 14.

Voting will begin at 7 AM and continue till 5 PM.

Gaya Town Assembly Election 2025: Past Results And Trends

The seat of Gaya Town is traditionally a BJP stronghold, with the party winning the seat in  2010, 2015 and 2020. In the previous Assembly Elections, Prem Kumar emerged victorious as the BJP candidate. Congress candidate Akhauri Onkar Nath was the runner-up, losing the contest with a margin of 11,898 votes. The voter turnout stood at 49.73 per cent. 

In this year’s election, besides the traditional heavyweights, former BJP leader Dhirendra Agarwal is also in the fray on a Jan Suraaj Party ticket.

Gaya Town Assembly Election 2025: Model Code Of Conduct

The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) came into force immediately after the election date was announced by the Election Commission of India and will continue till the completion of the election process. The MCC is binding on all political parties, candidates. It aims to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections by preventing misuse of government machinery, official announcements, or inducements that could influence voters.
