IPS Shivdeep Lande Resigns: Shivdeep Lande, one of the 'Dabangg' IPS officers of Bihar, has resigned from his post, reports jagran.com. Lande himself has given information about this through a social media post.

In the post, he wrote that my dear Bihar, after serving in this service for the last 18 years, today I have resigned from this post. In all these years, I have considered Bihar above myself and my family. Shivdeep Lande further wrote that if there has been any mistake in my tenure as a government servant, then I apologize for that. I have resigned from the Indian Police Service (IPS) today, but I will stay in Bihar, and Bihar will remain my karmabhoomi in the future too. Jai Hind.

Shivdeep Lande was currently posted as IG of Purnia Range. Two weeks ago he was made IG of Purnea Range. Earlier, he was the IG of Tirhut Range. IPS Shivdeep Lande is considered to be among the top police officials in the state in terms of his service. He has always had a tough attitude against criminals. Lande is a 2006 batch IPS officer. He has served as Crime Branch DIG of Mumbai Police.

Shivdeep was first posted in Munger district

Shivdeep was first posted in Jamalpur in Munger, a Naxal-affected district in Bihar. He joined as ASP. He was posted there for about two years. After this, he was also posted as City SP in Patna. His action against criminals in Patna was also much talked about.
