The Rural Works Department has granted approval for the construction of two major bridge projects in the region: a high-level bridge over the Noon River at Shahpur Maricha-Keshopur in Maniyari and a bridge between Panapur-Pipraha in Minapur.
Cost And Tender Process
The estimated cost for the construction of these bridges is over Rs 1.50 crore. Following the departmental approval, Joint Secretary Sanjay Kumar has issued an official notification. The tender process has been initiated, and tenders for both projects are expected to be issued shortly.
Need For Construction
The decision to build new bridges comes as the existing structures at both locations have become old, narrow, and dilapidated. With heavy vehicles frequently traversing these routes, there has been a persistent risk of accidents. The Rural Works Department approved the proposal to address these safety concerns and improve infrastructure.
Project Details And Benefits
Maniyari (Noon River): A high-level bridge will be constructed at Shahpur Maricha-Keshopur under the supervision of Rural Works Division-1. This project will significantly improve connectivity for the residents of Maniyari and Kurhani, making travel to Vaishali, Patna, and Samastipur easier.
