The brutal murder of a mother and her three innocent children has caused panic across the Ahiyapur police station area. A sensation spread on Monday after the tied-up bodies of the woman and children were found on the banks of the Burhi Gandak River, under the Chandwara Ghat bridge. Upon receiving the news, a large number of local residents gathered at the scene.

Police Investigation And Identification

Immediately after being informed of the incident, the City SP, SDPO-II Vinita Sinha, and Ahiyapur Station House Officer (SHO) Rohan Kumar arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation. The deceased have been identified as Mamta Kumari, wife of Krishmohan Kumar, and their children: 6-year-old Aditya Kumar, 4-year-old Ankush Kumar, and 2-year-old daughter Kriti Kumari. Relatives identified the bodies and have made serious allegations that the victims were murdered after being kidnapped.

Missing Since January 10

According to the family, a missing persons complaint was filed at the Ahiyapur police station on January 10. Krishmohan Kumar, a resident of Bakhri Sipahpur, told the police that he is an auto-rickshaw driver by profession and lives as a tenant in the house of Amarendra Kumar Singh. He stated that on the morning of January 10, around 5:00 am, he left to drive his auto. When he returned around 6:00 pm, his mother informed him that Mamta Kumari had gone to Zero Mile for shopping with all three children around 11:00 am but had not returned.

Threatening Calls And Allegations of Police Inaction

When no clues were found despite extensive searching, the family received phone calls from two unknown mobile numbers around 3:00 am on January 12. During the conversation, the callers admitted to kidnapping the woman and children and threatened to kill the entire family if the police were informed. The victim's family alleges that despite this information, the police failed to take any concrete action. As a result, the criminals killed all four victims and threw their bodies into the river.
