With the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections approaching, the NDA has prepared an aggressive campaign strategy featuring a high-intensity schedule of rallies led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address 10 rallies, with the possibility of increasing this number if required. This follows his extensive campaign during the Lok Sabha elections a year ago, where he held 15 rallies and a roadshow in the state. Notably, the Prime Minister has already visited Bihar seven times this year even before the official election announcement.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will maintain a vigorous pace, holding four rallies daily via helicopter, with his campaign trail set to begin immediately after October 10.
Joint Campaign Strategy
A key aspect of the NDA's strategy is the close coordination between its top leaders:
Stage Sharing: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be present on stage with PM Modi at all his election rallies.
Rally Distribution: One out of every three of the Prime Minister's rallies will be held in a constituency with a JDU candidate, while two will be in constituencies with BJP candidates.
Candidate Presence: A concerted effort is being made to ensure that all 243 NDA candidates get an opportunity to appear on the Prime Minister's stage in turns. A similar arrangement will be followed for the Chief Minister's rallies.
BJP's Star Campaigners
In addition to the Prime Minister, a formidable lineup of senior BJP leaders will canvas the state:
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda are each slated to hold 25 rallies.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has 10 rallies confirmed so far, with most expected to be held in the Seemanchal region.
Chief ministers of other BJP-ruled states will also be invited for campaigning, primarily for rallies held on the day of nomination filings. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav may also be deployed for targeted campaigning in specific constituencies.

Nitish Kumar's Groundwork
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's intensive rally schedule is being planned for constituencies where elections are in the first phase. This follows his extensive pre-campaign groundwork, which included election-focused meetings in several districts, interaction programs with women from the Jeevika scheme, and revisiting previous rally locations during his 'Pragati Yatra' (Progress Tour) to launch new development projects. Roadshows in several key areas are also being planned.
