Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: During a workers’ dialogue program held in Hathua on Sunday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called the 2017 coalition government with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) a “big mistake.”

Speaking in Lalu Prasad Yadav's home district, Nitish Kumar said, “There were some internal issues within our party, which caused us to drift apart. Forming the government with the RJD was an error, but once we recognised it, we promptly ended the alliance. Now, we firmly believe that we will never join hands with the RJD again.”

The Chief Minister further reaffirmed his commitment to his longtime colleagues and to Bihar’s development, stating that his primary focus in the coming days will be to serve the people of the state, Jagran.com reported.

Nitish Kumar Criticises Lalu-Rabri Government

- The Chief Minister sharply criticised the former Lalu-Rabri government, describing the period as one of fear and anarchy in Bihar.

- He said that people would lock their doors as soon as evening came and rarely stepped outside, as law and order were virtually nonexistent.

- Nitish claimed that since his government has come into power, both law and order have significantly improved, and the pace of development has accelerated.

- He emphasised that now, people live freely, crime is under control, and progress is happening across all districts at a rapid pace.

- “We have always worked for Bihar and for you, and we will continue to do so in the future. We urge everyone to cooperate and support us,” he said.

- He also launched an attack on the RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, accusing him of betraying family and the public. He said that such leaders are now joining hands with Congress to create confusion.
