Highest CM Salary In India: JDU stalwart Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister for a record 10th time at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Thursday. Along with him, 26 other ministers also took oath. Widely known as 'Sushasan Babu', Nitish Kumar has been in the centre of the state's politics for the past two decades. While he received minor setbacks from time to time, the JDU leader made sure to maintain his relevance through his beneficiary schemes and good image.

As per a report by india.com, Nitish Kumar will get a salary of approximately Rs 2.5 lakh, including allowances.

Salaries of chief ministers in different states vary depending on the state budget and economic conditions. The top spot is taken by the Chief Minister of Telangana, who receives a monthly salary of Rs 4,10,000. Meanwhile, Delhi ranks in the second place. Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh get a salary of around Rs 2,00,000 per month. Mizoram CM gets a monthly salary of Rs 1,84,000, as per the report. Rajasthan CM gets a salary of Rs 1,75,000. In states like Tripura, the CM gets something less than Rs 1,05,500.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister receives a salary of Rs 3,65,000 per month. In this, Rs 1,50,000 is the basic pay while the dearness allowances are Rs 90,000.
