Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav attended the INDIA bloc rally in Delhi on Monday. In a fiery speech at Ramlila Maidan, Tejashwi accused BJP of using central agencies to silence the opposition’s voice ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The RJD leader asserted that whenever BJP’s political opponents criticise the government, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Income Tax (IT) raid their houses.

Tejashwi accused the ED, CBI and IT of working as cells of the BJP to clamp down the dissent in the country. Addressing the ongoing situation in Bihar, Tejashwi mentioned that raids are being conducted at the residences of several leaders. He also highlighted that his father, Lalu Yadav, had also had several cases against him over the years.

"The ED, CBI and IT are the cells of the BJP. Lalu Ji has been harassed a lot of times. There have been cases against me. My mother, my sisters, my brother-in-law and all the relatives of my father, there were cases against everyone. Many of our leaders are being raided currently. ED, IT raids are underway, Tejashwi Yadav said.

Despite the present situation, he emphasised that there is no room for panic. He drew parallels with the recent arrests of Arvind Kejriwal and Hemant Soren, asserting that they are not afraid of the BJP’s tactics.

''But we are not going to be scared. We will struggle. Only lions are caged. All of us are lions. We are fighting for you," the RJD leader said at INDIA bloc’s Maha Rally in Delhi.

Tejashwi also called upon the youth to scrutinise the government’s performance. He labelled inflation and unemployment as the country’s enemies and challenged the ruling party to provide data for the employment opportunities provided to citizens during the NDA government.

Tejashwi stated that during his tenure, he facilitated the creation of five lakh jobs in Bihar within 17 months. In contrast, he criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not prioritising farmer welfare and other issues of public welfare.
