Uttar Pradesh and BJP's star campaigner, CM Yogi Adityanath, on Monday referred to Rahul Gandhi as Pappu, INDIA bloc CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav as Tappu and his political rival in the state, Akhilesh Yadav, as Appu, while addressing a poll rally in Bihar's Darbhanga.

Comparing them with 'three monkeys' of Mahatma Gandhi, CM Yogi said that just like them, "Pappu can't tell the truth... Tappu can't see what's right. Appu can't hear the truth".

Lashing out at the opposition alliance over tainted mafia culture in Bihar. He said, "These three monkeys are trying to breach Bihar's security by luring the family mafia and making them their disciples...These people pitted caste against caste in Bihar... With guns and pistols, they tainted Bihar's entire system. These are the same people who divide you on the basis of caste, invite infiltrators, tamper with your faith, and then undermine national security."

Reacting to it, Congress linked it with Lord Hanuman, alleging that CM Yogi disrespected the god. Congress leader Pawan Khera said, "He is a Yogi but he is insulting Hanuman ji. Imagine a Yogi insulting Hanuman ji. What can we say? The public is watching and hearing this."

The political slugfest in Bihar is high as the voting for the first phase is near, and the campaigning for the same will cease after a day. The voting for the first phase is scheduled to take place on November 6, while for the second phase, it will be held on November 11.

The counting of votes in all 243 assembly constituencies will be held on November 14.
