Another significant step has been taken towards strengthening passenger facilities at Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna. From Saturday night, the fourth and fifth passenger boarding bridges (aerobridges) at the airport have been brought into operation. The successful operation of both aerobridges began after receiving approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

First Flight Operations Via The Fourth Aerobridge

The first arrival on the fourth aerobridge was Air India's flight AI 1746 on the Delhi–Patna sector, which arrived in Patna with 178 passengers (POB). The aircraft was parked at bay number 10 via the aerobridge connected to boarding gate number 12. Following this, the departure flight AI 1819 on the Patna–Delhi sector, with 177 passengers (POB), marked the formal commencement of this aerobridge's operations as it took off.

First Arrival Of Delhi–Patna Sector Flight: Fifth Aerobridge

Meanwhile, the first arrival via the fifth aerobridge was IndiGo's flight 6E 6549 on the Delhi–Patna sector, carrying 175 passengers (POB). The aircraft was parked at bay number 11 through the aerobridge connected to boarding gate number 12A. Subsequently, departure flight 6E 6550 on the Patna–Delhi sector successfully took off with 178 passengers (POB).

All Five Aerobridges Now Operational At Patna Airport

Patna Airport Director Chandra Pratap Dwivedi stated that all five aerobridges at Patna Airport are now operational. The operation of the two new aerobridges will lead to more organised passenger movement within the terminal building, significantly improve crowd management, and provide passengers with safe, smooth and convenient transit.

Through infrastructure development, Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna is continuously striving to provide better and more efficient services to passengers.
