Patna Traffic Police issued an advisory on Wednesday to regulate vehicular movement during the Chaiti Chhath Puja 2025 celebrations. The local administration announced multiple traffic restrictions and alternative routes for commuters to ensure smooth traffic flow during the celebrations, especially on April 3 and 4.

Traffic SP Aparajit Lohan announced that vehicular movement on Ashok Rajpath will be restricted from Kargil Chowk to Didarganj on April 3 from 12 pm to 7 pm and again on April 4 from 2 am to 8 am or until normal conditions resume. Only vehicles carrying Chhath devotees and emergency service vehicles, such as ambulances, will be allowed access during these periods.

On JP Ganga Path and Atal Path, general traffic is prohibited on both lanes from Digha Golambar to Gaighat. Additionally, vehicular movement from Digha towards R Block on Atal Path will not be allowed. Parking on these roads is also strictly prohibited.

Alternative Routes And Parking Facilities 

Devotees heading to JP Setu East Ghat can access the area from 3:30 pm, with designated parking available on the western lane of Atal Path. Vehicles traveling towards Gaighat should use the Old Bypass or New Bypass to reach Dhanki Mor and Biscoman Golambar, where parking arrangements have been made.

The district administration has designated 13 parking lots near various ghats, including Patlipul Ghat, Digha Ghat, Shiva Ghat and Minar Ghat. From these points, devotees are required to proceed to the ghats on foot.

Chaiti Chhath Puja 2025: Security Measures In Patna

Over 300 police officers, including 125 traffic personnel, have been deployed at 60 key locations to manage traffic and ensure public safety during the Chaiti Chhath Puja 2025 celebrations in Patna. Six cranes will also be used to remove improperly parked vehicles.

A total of 92 ghats, from Digha to Didarganj, have been prepared for the rituals. Additionally, 41 ghats and seven ponds within the Patna Municipal Corporation jurisdiction have been equipped with safety barricades, lighting, drinking water facilities, toilets and changing rooms. Continuous cleaning efforts are underway to maintain hygiene and facilitate a smooth celebration.
