Patna Election 2025 Voting Live Updates: Patna Sees Improved Voter Turnout, Bikram Leads At 66.95%, Digha Trails At 39.1%

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Thursday alleged that in the Danapur assembly constituency, boat services were halted, preventing thousands of voters from reaching their polling stations. The party has sought EC action into the matter. 

Polling officials in Mokama sealed electronic voting machines (EVMs) following the conclusion of first phase of much-hyped Bihar Assembly Elections. 

Union Minister Chirag Paswan said, "The way the trends are coming in, one thing is clear, and there is not even the slightest doubt that after the results on the 14th, the NDA government will once again be formed in Bihar. We have been campaigning for the last 20 days... The way the first phase of voting has concluded has further strengthened our confidence that this time we are moving towards a historic victory... The way the Mahagathbandhan went to the public with false promises and promised government jobs to every family, the people of Bihar are more intelligent. They know that if the state budget is so low, you cannot talk about providing so many government jobs... The public is understanding all these things... In such a situation, I believe that this time our NDA alliance is moving towards a historic victory. By the end of the second phase, the margin of victory is going to increase even more.",

Speaking to news agency ANI, actor-singer and BJP leader Pawan Singh on Thursday said, "We are touring the entire Bihar and seeing the blessings that the people are showering on the NDA, our hearts are filled with joy."

VIP chief and Mahagathbandhan deputy CM face Mukesh Sahani has expressed hope about a political shift in Bihar, citing strong voter turnout as a sign of change. "There is a wave of change in Bihar. There is bumper voting happening. I hope that there will be a change in Bihar. A Mahagathbandhan government will be formed," he said. ,

With voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections underway, Additional Secretary of the State Election Department, Madhav Kumar, said, "The voting percentage as of 3 pm is 53.77. We have surpassed the benchmark set by the previous Lok Sabha elections. The voting percentage is highest in Begusarai. The voting percentage in Patna has also improved."

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday accused the RJD of prioritising the interests of wives, sons, and personal gains of its leaders and neglecting the needs of the people of Bihar.,

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Bhai Vijendra, casting his vote with his wife in Maner, expressed hope that the Mahagathbandhan will form the next Bihar government, saying the people are ready for a change.

Union Minister and RLD Chief Jayant Chaudhary expressed confidence, saying that the NDA government will be formed again in Bihar. "The NDA government will be formed in Bihar again. The government has ensured good governance, and the public is benefiting from various government schemes...The public has also seen the track record of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. The public will not vote for them," ANI quoted Chaudhary as saying.

Popular YouTuber and educator Khan Sir cast his vote during the first phase of polling and urged citizens, especially youths, to exercise their democratic right and break the "low turnout" trend.

The RJD tweeted that in the Danapur Assembly constituency, the administration has halted boat operations, leaving thousands of voters unable to reach their polling stations. More than 10,000 voters are now dependent on a single steamer that makes only one round trip per day. The party questioned whether the district administration would take responsibility if an accident were to occur and tagged @CEOBihar and @ECISVEEP, asking, “What are you doing?”,

Patna Election Voting Live: Patna has recorded a voter turnout of 37.72 per cent till 1 PM. The highest voter turnout in Patna has been recorded in Masaurhi seat at 48.06 per cent. The lowest at 25 per cent has been recorded in Digha and Bankipur each.

A voter turnout of 11.22% was recorded till 9 AM across 14 assembly seats in Patna. The polling, which began at 7:00 am, will continue till 6:00 pm. A total of 149 candidates are contesting in these constituencies as voters step out to elect their representatives in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections.,
