Patna Hospital Murder: Bihar's capital once again rocked with the sensational murder of a notorious gangster, Chandan Mishra on Thursday. Mishra, who was out of jail on parole on medical grounds, was shot dead by five unknown assailants at the city's Paras Hospital. The group of shooters reached room number 209 on the second floor of the hospital, breaching security. The horrific incident caught on camera in which goons are seen walking without a sign of fear and brandishing pistols in a filmy style. After killing the patient, who was also a history sheeter, they fled the scene conveniently.
Who Was Chandan Mishra?
Chandan Mishra, son of Mantu Mishra, a resident of Sonbarsa village, under the Industrial Police Station area of Buxar, was serving life imprisonment in a murder case. Several serious cases were registered against him. Once, people used to live under the terror of Mishra in the Buxar district.

Buxar Businessman Murder Case
He was also named in the Rajendra Kesari murder case, which took place 14 years ago on the main road in Amla Toli, Buxar. On August 21, 2011, Rajendra Kesari, owner of Bhojpur Chuna Bhandar, was shot dead in broad daylight on the main road in Buxar. Rajendra was opening the shutter of his shop when the criminals fired bullets at him.
In this case, Rajendra's family filed a case against Chandan Mishra, resident of Buxar, Omkarnath Singh alias Sheru Singh, Surendra Mishra alias Chhotu Mishra, suspended policeman Deenbandhu Singh and others. This incident was the first major incident of Chandan and Sheru's criminal life. The case made Mishra a professional gangster. Omkarnath Singh alias Sheru Singh, another accused in the case, and Mishra became a name of terror. The duo carried out several crimes together. They had murdered a famous businessman of Buxar for extortion. Their attempt was to get a lot of publicity for this incident and create fear among the business community. To some extent, this happened.
However, the police showed promptness and arrested both of them within a few days. The police conducted a quick investigation in this case and the case was heard through speedy trial. On October 3, 2013, District and Sessions Judge Harendra Tiwari sentenced Chandan Mishra, Deenbandhu Singh and Chhotu Mishra to life imprisonment.
Earlier on September 29, 2012, Chandan was convicted under Sections 302 (murder), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 386 (extortion), 467, 468, 471 (forgery) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 27 of the Arms Act.
