Patna Metro Update: The Patna Metro has reportedly commenced the trial run, which is set to continue for at least seven days. The officials stated that the teams of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) have completed all the preparations ahead of the trial. Earlier last week, the PMRCL stated that the much-awaited Patna Metro will start its operation for the commuters in the later weeks of October. It further emphasised that the operation of metro trains will provide convenience to thousands of commuters by cutting the travel time and reducing traffic congestion from the key areas of the city.
While providing details, the authority stated that the trial run will commence from the depot built in front of ISBT Bairia. It further stated that the Patna Metro will detect all the possible technical problems and resolve them in the upcoming days. The PMRCL also stated that the 132 kV switch station built in the depot was charged on Friday ahead of the trial run, adding that a regular power supply has been assured during the trial run.

Earlier last month, the PMRCL stated that the first phase of Patna Metro will operate between the depot and Malahi Pakadi.

It further stated that almost 4.5 kilometers of the route is ready for the operation from the depot to Bhootnath. However, due to incomplete work near Khemnichak station, the train will not be able to reach Malahi Pakadi in the first few months.
